So I went for my first day of placement for this semester yesterday. Having to wake up early and not having any leftovers from dinner the night before, I grabbed a cup of instant noodles from home for lunch (it's my first instant noodles in a long time, I've been capped to having instant noodles only once a week... for health's sake).
Staffs tend to have lunch together in the tea room. Taking a quick poll of everyone's lunches, majority of them were salads. All green and leafy and healthy, while the smell of my instant noodles filled the room. It's a very delicious smell, and I'd hate to be the one eating salad if I had to smell the sesame oil and msg of someone else's noodles.
Actually, I'm just feeling guilty that they were all eating healthy and I weren't. No, in truth, I enjoyed my noodles, but maybe I'll have to start packing healthier lunches from now on. Peer pressure >< Tips for those wanting to eat healthy, it's pretty simple. Get all your friends and family to eat salads all day and you'll start glancing from your own cheese-laden pizza and 1L bottle of coke to their salads... eventually, you'll conform. The ultimate task is to get all your friends and family to eat salad. Good luck with that.
I digress.

Back to Singapore!
That was the room service wedding cake. The one up on the stage is just a prop and cannot be eaten. No one actually got the chance to eat this, so the groom gave it to his family.

The grand affair, held at Sheraton Towers Hotel's ballroom.

There was a little panic over some technical difficulties. 1) They didn't have a laptop, thank God I had mine. Lugged that heavy thing from Sydney all the way to Singapore and it took up half my luggage space (I brought a tiny luggage). 2) The video wasn't playing properly, so I went to the technician's room overlooking the whole ballroom. Free view!

I didn't manage to take photos of every single course because I had to help my sister change in and out of her clothes. Trust me, to do so without messing up hair and makeup, plus all her dresses are the big Victorian style POOFY kind... it was no easy feat.

I still got all my food though, because my sister's friend sitting at the same table as me told them not to take away my food. MY food!!

She even helped me take photos :) Shark fin~

Terrible terrible lighting though, so excuse the poor photography, it's not anyone's fault but Sheraton's.

I loved this one! It's not anything fancy like expensive seafood, but it's called Fish Noodles. At first glance, it looked like udon and one would expect it to be quite... soggy, or oily, but no. Texture was quite firm, like spaghetti cooked al dente. Tasted exactly like fish ball! Strands of fish balls! =D And yea, they put fake crabsticks in there, but I actually like those stuff. I know, people tell me there's no chance of real crabmeat being in those sticks, but I still like them.

Ended with cream of mango with pomelo sago, which was really nice, but everyone was full, so we couldn't finish the whole pot of it. My mum's auntie had it da-pao in a box cos she liked it so much, nothing wasted!

Then the next morning, it was back to the airport for me. An early morning wakeup call with Starbucks coffee before my flight~
